Cricket fraternity wishes Rishabh Pant speedy recovery after car accident

India’s wicket-keeper striker Rishabh Pant was injured after his car collided with the splitter and caught fire on Friday on his way from Delhi to Uttarakhand. He was driving his Mercedes car, which had an accident near Roorkee in Uttarakhand. Pant suffered head, knee and shin injuries as a result of the accident. There might be a broken leg and he is currently being transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun. After Pant was injured in the road accident, people from all walks of life took to Twitter and wished the cricketer a speedy recovery.

“Rishabh Pant had an accident between Manglaur and Narsan in Haridwar district. He has now been transferred to a hospital in Dehradun after receiving primary care at a hospital in Roorkee,” Pant’s IPL franchise said on Twitter, Delhi Capitals.

Former India Women’s Cricket Team Captain Jhulan Goswami tweeted, “Wishing a speedy recovery to @RishabPant17. Our prayers and best wishes are always with you. Get well soon.”

Pant was part of the Indian team that won the Test series against Bangladesh 2-0 earlier this month. He had impressed with shots of 46 and 93 in the first and second test, respectively.

He was recently dropped from the announced T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka and was due to join the National Cricket Academy for the strength and conditioning program ahead of February’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.
