Kody Brown Opens Up About His Issues With Ex-Wife Christine Brown On Sister wives: tete-a-tete.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive preview of Sunday’s episode, Kody claims Christine blamed him for the issues in their marriage to “ease her guilt.”
“I’m okay with her thinking to herself, listen, ‘I’m not in good shape here. I have to move on,'” Kody, 53, told host Sukanya Krishnan. “But what she’s doing is, ‘Break my baby’s heart. I don’t respect it.’ “Cowardly. I don’t respect him.” “Take his sideburns. I don’t respect him.” Name him, she s—-talked to me.”
“Breaking up a marriage when you’re not in love, I understand. But to appease her guilt, she blamed me for everything, including her children and those of Janelle, ”he continues. “And therefore, combined with the issues of COVID, those relationships have been taken away from me, including – and this is the one I don’t understand – Janelle.”

Kody then suggests that Christine, 50, “try to ease her guilt by saying I’m a bad man.”
“I get it. She has to do this to find another man who will trust her,” he said. “Because if she leaves a good man, most guys are going to be like, ‘That’s risky.'”

Elsewhere in the clip, Christine explains how Kody felt it was “unattractive” for her to speak ill of his sister wives Meri Brown, Janelle Brown and Robyn Brown. But she considered what she was doing a “ventilation”.
“It was me that I told him that was what he was talking about, that I was mean to my sister’s women. I think that’s ridiculous,” she said. “I said, ‘I don’t know what you mean.’ We dropped it and didn’t dig any deeper.”
Christine and Kody’s issues played out throughout the season, just over a year after Christine announced their separation in November 2021 after more than 25 years of marriage.
